Carla's Story, DSP

Carla embarked on her journey at PAI more than a year ago, commencing as a Direct Support Professional. Being a full-time college student, Carla appreciates the flexibility PAI offers in her schedule. Her testament highlights the adaptability of a career at PAI. Initially inexperienced as a DSP upon joining PAI, Carla underwent comprehensive training that equipped her to effectively support the participants. Her enthusiasm for PAI is evident as she expresses, "It truly is the highlight of my week." Embracing the novelty each day brings, Carla continually learns about the participants, aiding them in accomplishing their goals and fostering independence.

Balancing her hectic school timetable, Carla dedicates two days a week to PAI. She credits her supportive co-workers for keeping her updated on the happenings during her absence, allowing her to seamlessly rejoin and contribute to the team's efforts.
