Companionship. Service. Fulfillment.
Community volunteer opportunities for adults with autism and other disabilities.
For adults with autism and other developmental disabilities being involved in the community enriches the lives of those who volunteer and those helped by volunteers. At PAI, we recognize how important being involved in the community plays in everyone’s life. Giving back is a value adults with disabilities share. Volunteering provides a sense of purpose and also offers adults with disabilities the opportunity to make new friendships. PAI connects clients who have intellectual, and developmental disability (IDD), autism spectrum disorder or traumatic brain injury to places where they can volunteer and experience the satisfaction of making our community a better place to live.
Clients at PAI give back to our community through a variety of volunteer roles, such as delivering meals on wheels, helping in elementary classrooms, making blankets for an animal shelter, and other activities. We look for opportunities that match the interests, talents and special abilities of our volunteers. PAI clients volunteering in the community are supported by highly-trained staff dedicated to helping them succeed in their chosen community service activities.
